Product description:

The safety POIs fulfil an especially important role. They warn the driver of dangerous crossings, bends, pot holes, wild animal crossings and locations in need of special attention such as kindergartens and school bus stops.

The Safety POI project is an initiative of pocketnavigation.de. It has arisen from the need to make local danger spots and risky situations recognisable early and to inform the driver of these in good time. This project based on community sourcing is especially for the German, Austrian and Swiss region and relies on reports from all of its users. Traffic danger spots can be reported by drivers easily and described in detail.

Safety POIs are reported via the interactive POIbase map within the menu Edit POIs. In order to make a report, it is necessary to purchase the POI category Safety. This restriction reduces false reports. The reported danger spots are editorially checked by us. If another product has already been purchased at POIbase, the Safety POIs can also be added free of charge for one year.
