Notes

•  iGO 2006: These navigation systems can only load speed cam data. Direction-dependent alerts are provided for speed cams. There is only one generic icon for speed cams. It is not possible to use speed camera data in Switzerland.


•  iGO 2008: These systems provide directional speed camera alerts. In some cases, POIbase also displays the speed limit appilcable to a camera. It is not possible to use speed camera data in Switzerland. Speed cameras can only be enabled if a GPS signal is available. Normal POI's can be loaded into almost all systems, including brand icons. The number of downloadable POI's varies, but the limit is usually 60,000 – 80,000.


•  iGO Primo (iGO09): These systems allow directional speed camera alerts. In some cases, POIbase also displays the speed limit appilcable to a camera. Speed camera data is disabled in Switzerland. Speed cameras can only be activated if a GPS signal is available. Normal POI's can be loaded into almost all systems, but not always with brand icons. The number of downloadable POI's varies, but the limit is usually 60,000 – 80,000.


•  NNG iGO Navigation for Android: These systems allow audio directional alerts for speed cameras. POIbase displays the speed limit appilcable to cameras, and POIbase brand icons can be displayed on the map. POIbase POI's can be selected as a destination with the NNG iGO Navigation app for Android.

Please follow these steps to install speed cameras and points of interest on your Android device with the NNG iGO Navigation app:

Illustrated guide to installing POIs on the Android iGO Navigation app

1. Connect your Android smartphone running the Android NNG iGO Navigation app to the PC and start the software POIbase. Select the Fast detection option.

2. POIbase should automatically identify the app NNG iGO Navigation if it is installed on your Android smartphone.

3. If the app NNG iGO Navigation is not auto-detected by POIbase, click on the Manual selecion button and then select the module NNG iGO Navigation Android manually from the list.

4. The subsequent steps require either a registration (new account, if you do not yet have one) or a login (if a POIbase account already exists).

5. Next, click on Download Download POIs. There you will find many useful POI categories such as speed cams, petrol stations, campsites etc.

6. Select any POI's you wish to download with the button Add and import them with the button Update xxx POIs in the bottom right corner.

7. If POIbase detected the iGO Navigation app, the selected POI's will automatically be loaded to the device. No further action is required. If the app was selected manually, ...

8. ... a destination folder must be defined to save the POI's. Therefore, please select either a local folder on the PC such as Downloads or the app folder directly on the Android smartphone (or any other iGO system).

9. POIbase will now create a directory named "content" and copy the folders "userdata" and "speedcam“ into it. The folder "content" with its subfolders must be copied to the appropriate app directory on the device (if not done in Step 8).

POI activation in the app

Turn on the display of POI's directly in the app via the menu:
